The Gulf Coast Harpers Association supports the harp community of Southeast Texas by providing the 5th/6th grade First Place place prize for the Milligan Competition, two scholarships to the Houston Summer Harp Festival, and a donation to the Gulf Coast Cruinniu to support the teaching of Irish music in SE Texas. The association also holds “harp circles” four times yearly and invites and encourages harp players of all ages to feel comfortable playing both solo and in an ensemble.
The Gulf Coast Harpers Association relies on memberships and fundraisers to continue their support of student harpists in Southeast Texas.
